This camera-free elderly monitoring system is mounted in the room; the person being monitored does not need to wear a pendant, a wristband or an emergency button. Contactless sensing continuously tracks presence, movement, heart rate and respiration rate in the room. It works as a fall detection sensor while at the same time monitoring sleep patterns and daily activity. Once installed, the elderly monitoring system runs quietly in the background and requires no interaction from the user.
Fall detection and emergency alerts
For elderly people living alone, the greatest risk is that a fall goes unnoticed for a long time. The fall detection sensor detects the moment of a fall automatically and confirms it within seconds. After confirmation the elderly monitoring system sounds an audible alarm and sends an instant notification to family members and designated contacts through the mobile app. In an emergency all registered devices alarm simultaneously, so the chance of a notification being missed is reduced.
