Smart Ring: Heart Rate Tracking, Sleep Tracking and SpO2
The E-Pixel Smart Ring is a wearable health tracking device that performs heart rate tracking, blood oxygen (SpO₂) measurement, sleep tracking and daily activity tracking around the clock. Because the smart ring is worn on the finger, unlike wristbands and watches it causes no discomfort during sleep tracking; at 8.5 mm wide, 2.6 mm thick and roughly 6 grams it goes unnoticed in daily use. This heart rate monitoring smart ring works with PPG and accelerometer sensors and connects to iOS and Android apps over Bluetooth 5.2. The device is for health and activity tracking and is not used for medical diagnosis.
Heart rate tracking, SpO₂ measurement and HRV analysis
The smart ring continuously monitors live and resting heart rate and raises an automatic alert when an abnormal rhythm is detected. Because heart rate tracking runs uninterrupted through the day, the course of your pulse across the day is visible. Blood oxygen (SpO₂) measurement is also continuous, and overnight SpO₂ variation is used when evaluating sleep tracking results. Heart rate variability (HRV) analysis tracks stress in real time; HRV is a richer indicator of rest and recovery than heart rate alone. Skin temperature changes and differentials are also tracked, giving an extra clue about general health.
Sleep tracking and sleep score with the smart ring
Sleep tracking is one of the most used functions of the smart ring, because the ring is small and light enough not to be removed at night. The smart ring reports deep sleep duration, time in bed, sleep timing metrics and the sleep score derived from them. Analysing sleep cycles through sleep tracking data gives a concrete measure for decisions such as adjusting bedtime and wake-up times. Because overnight SpO₂ and heart rate tracking data are included in the same sleep report, sleep quality is assessed with several indicators rather than a single metric.
Activity tracking: steps, calories and training
The smart ring records daily step count, calories burned and activity durations continuously. Activity tracking reminders alert you after long periods of inactivity. Daily, weekly and monthly reports follow the trend rather than a single day, which is more meaningful for setting goals and seeing progress. In fitness use, heart rate tracking during training and recovery afterwards are followed together. The sensors the smart ring measures with are PPG (photoplethysmography) and an accelerometer; pulse and SpO₂ data come from PPG, movement and step data from the accelerometer.
Smart ring design, durability and battery life
The smart ring has a nano-ceramic outer shell and an antibacterial stainless steel inner band. That choice matters both for hygiene in a device in constant skin contact and for scratch resistance. The smart ring is rated to 50 metres (IP68) water resistance, so it needs no removal for handwashing, showering or swimming. Battery life is four to six days with up to 30 days standby, removing the daily charging habit so sleep tracking is not interrupted by charging. At roughly 6 grams and 2.6 mm thick, the smart ring can be worn like ordinary jewellery.
Why a smart ring rather than a wristband
The biggest weakness of wearable health trackers is that they produce no data when not worn. Smart watches and wristbands are uncomfortable at night or need daily charging, so they are taken off at certain times, leaving gaps especially in sleep tracking data. The smart ring form solves this in two ways: at 2.6 mm thick and around 6 grams it goes unnoticed during sleep, and four to six days of battery life removes the daily charging routine. PPG measurement at the finger is also less affected by motion artefacts than wrist-based heart rate tracking. Data accumulates without interruption, so daily, weekly and monthly reports reveal the real trend.
Who the smart ring suits
People following their general health can use the smart ring for heart rate tracking and blood oxygen through the day. For those improving their sleep routine, sleep tracking, sleep cycle analysis and the sleep score are the core tools. Regular athletes evaluate training intensity and recovery with activity tracking and HRV data together. For anyone interested in stress management, HRV-based measurement shows which parts of the day carry the greatest load. For users who do not want a watch or wristband, the smart ring balances continuous health tracking with daily comfort. The smart ring is compatible with iOS and Android and connects over Bluetooth 5.2.
Frequently Asked Questions About the Smart Ring
What health data does the smart ring measure?
Heart rate tracking (live and resting pulse), blood oxygen (SpO₂) measurement, skin temperature differential, HRV-based stress analysis, sleep tracking metrics and activity tracking data (steps, calories, duration).
How does the smart ring perform sleep tracking?
The smart ring reports deep sleep duration, sleep score, time in bed and sleep timing metrics. Overnight SpO₂ and heart rate tracking data are included in the sleep report.
Is heart rate tracking continuous?
Yes. The smart ring performs 24/7 heart rate tracking, monitors live and resting pulse and raises an automatic alert when an abnormal rhythm is detected.
How long does the smart ring battery last?
Four to six days in use and up to 30 days in standby, so sleep tracking is not interrupted by charging.
Is the smart ring water resistant?
The smart ring is rated to 50 metres (IP68); it needs no removal for handwashing, showering or swimming.
Which phones does the smart ring work with?
iOS and Android. The connection is over Bluetooth 5.2.
What is the smart ring made of?
A nano-ceramic outer shell and an antibacterial stainless steel inner band. It is 8.5 mm wide, 2.6 mm thick and weighs roughly 6 grams.
Can smart ring readings be used for medical diagnosis?
No. The smart ring is designed for personal health tracking and activity tracking; it is not used for medical diagnosis or treatment. Consult your physician for health-related decisions.
